Loaves & Fishes

RTM Fishing Retreat Recap Video

The Red Truck Men’s second annual fishing excursion took place Saturday and Sunday, October 7th and 8th. Seventy-one guys from North and South Carolina came out for some good food, fellowship, and yep, some good old low country fishing.

Notably, this year witnessed numerous successful catches, including flounder, trout, triple tail, black drums, sheepshead, shark and some massive bull reds. It was also great watching some of our younger members showcase their angling prowess, making the trip even more memorable.

However, beyond the fishing, one of the greatest moments unfolded as guys circled up to offer prayers, not only for their families and friends but also for our great nation.

Men, while Jesus was on Earth, He—like us—did two things: learned His Father’s will and He told others. The backdrop of all this was an invitation to break bread together. Fishing with His friends was one way He illustrated the importance of staying connected to other brothers.

By the way, as stories were exchanged about the day’s catches in various boats, a consensus seemed to form—the fish were, undoubtedly, growing larger with each story. For you guys who went, remember we have pictures to corroborate your stories! For the guys who didn’t make it, we look forward to welcoming you to our future events. Here are some great pictures and a quick video of the RTM weekend.

Have a great weekend.
