Widow Serve Day – March 4th

Great opportunity to make an impact on the community this Saturday as we serve a local widow. Micy McCain lost her husband to a 6-year battle with cancer on January 15, 2023.

Time: 8a til we are done or run out of supplies. Come as long as you can even if it’s an hour or two. I’ll have the grill fired up with some coffee on site.

Projects:
1.) Pressure wash house and driveway
2.) Trim & prune bushes and trees
3.) Clean up trash around house
4.) Rake & mow lawn
5.) Fertilize lawn
6.) Tree work & prep to 2 big trees that have fallen (if anyone knows of a good tree guy, we could use one).
7.) Fence line needs to be fixed & cleaned up.
8.) Hornets need to be identified and dealt with.
Bonus) Cutting and laying fabric for bed to add mulch.

Work Stuff:
Needing some equipment, tools, and supplies. I have a donation request out to Lowes and I’ll purchase whatever we can’t stir up in this thread. Here’s a google doc – throw your name in if you can attend & if you’re willing to bring anything. You can also reply back to email if that’s easier!

Fertilizer for Tall Fescue – half acre
Mulch (20 bags)
Safety goggles
Bottled water on ice
Fabric for mulch
Box cutter
