Join our 3+ day disaster response team for a truly impactful and hands-on experience—clearing roads, distributing critical resources, cutting trees, feeding those in need, and tackling challenging home mudouts. Expect to work long, rewarding days, with shifts ranging from 10 to 14 hours. We’ll provide meals at our command center and lodging for men at Montreat Conference Center.
The Command Center is located at the Rail Yard in Black Mountain—141 Richardson Blvd, Black Mountain, NC 28711. Upon arrival, your team leader and volunteer team will be assigned to you. Please come prepared with the essentials: cold weather work clothing , and, if possible, PPE safety gear. If you own a chainsaw, bring it along to help with tree-clearing efforts. Your readiness and gear will be invaluable as we work together to make a difference in these communities.
