He Spoke You Into Existence

Romans 1:28
“Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.”

Throughout God’s Word, we learn about His goodness, character, and guidance! Without God’s Word, we are left to our debased minds. God desires for His children to know and trust Him. For all who trust Him, His desire, as we see in John 15 (the Vine and the branches), is for them to bear fruit––eternal fruit that will last! Yet, without God’s Word written in our hearts and minds, we are left over to our fleshly ambitions and desires. Since the beginning of time, God has shown man His invisible qualities—lightening, thunder, clouds and rain, stars, a seed that grows to trees, and much more, but it’s only through the Word that we actually understand who He is and why we exist!

Romans 1:20-21
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

We are His creation. We were created to have fellowship and purpose. When we men neglect the Word of God, we are left over to our desires–which are our flesh! God’s Word and eternal purpose are replaced by our flesh and earthly ambition. We replace a Heavenly God from the Throne of Heaven and put ourselves in His place.

Throughout the history of man, men whom God created wanted to be God! There’s no better example of this than Lucifer, who was once named one of the most beautiful angels yet was cast from heaven with a third of the angels. Why? Because Satan no longer wanted God to have authority over him. He wanted to be his own authority. Like any relationship, the relationship starts with understanding the very one we are to have a relationship with. Through the Word of God, we tap into His will for our lives. We step down from our earthly throne and ask Him to take over. When we do this, we open the doors of Wisdom and blessings from the Creator.

No matter your wealth or poverty, no amount of money can replace the goodness of God’s plan for us as we study and learn His Word! Even King Solomon, who had great wealth and was considered the wisest man, found that true happiness can only be found in centering our lives on God––not ourselves!  “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.  For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14) God spoke everything into existence through His Word! We, as His creation, are designed to abide in that Word. Without it, we are cast aside!
The book of Roman’s is a great book of the Bible to dive into!

Have a great weekend!
